Eco-Leaders Fellowship Program (Cohort 1)
BACKGROUND
HAWKS YOUTH VISION FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit Youth registered organization. We are bringing together thousands of youth groups from across the Pakistan for their capacity building and betterment of Pakistan. Hawks Youth Vision Foundation is pleased to announce the Eco-Leaders Fellowship, a transformative opportunity for young leaders to advance Climate Resilience in their communities. The fellowship aims to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to become effective Climate advocates and change-makers.
The Eco-Leaders Fellowship Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower young individuals to become effective advocates for Climate Resilience in Pakistan. The program aims to address the pressing issues of Climate Change in Pakistan, where young people face significant barriers in accessing accurate information, services, and support.
FELLOWSHIP COMPONANTS
3-Month Virtual Program: Interactive online sessions, webinars, and discussions on Climate Resilience, Adoptation, Metigation, advocacy, and leadership.
7-Day Residential Program: Fully funded, in-person training and networking opportunity for top 20 virtual program participants.
Project Grant: Seed funding to support fellows' Climate Resilience projects, with guidance from Hawks' team.
Networking Opportunities: Connections with Climate Change stakeholders, including organizations, policymakers, and youth leaders.
The Eco-Leaders Fellowship Program will likely focus on thematic areas related to climate resilience, sustainability, and environmental leadership. Some potential areas of focus could include:
Climate Science and Impacts: Understanding climate change causes, effects, and mitigation strategies
Sustainable Development: Exploring sustainable development goals, climate-resilient agriculture, and eco-friendly practices
Climate Resilience and Adaptation: Developing strategies for climate risk management, vulnerability reduction, and ecosystem-based adaptation
Environmental Leadership: Building leadership skills for climate action, project development, and community engagement
Sustainability and Green Practices: Promoting sustainable lifestyles, renewable energy, and waste reduction
Climate Justice and Advocacy: Understanding climate justice, advocacy, and communication for climate action
Community Engagement and Project Development: Developing projects that address local environmental issues and promote community engagement
Ecosystem-Based Adaptation and Resilience: Focusing on nature-based solutions for climate resilience and adaptation
Climate Education and Awareness: Educating communities about climate change, its impacts, and mitigation strategies
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency: Promoting the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and implementing energy-efficient practices.
Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems: Developing sustainable agriculture practices, promoting agroforestry, and supporting local food systems.
Water Conservation and Management: Implementing water-saving measures, promoting water conservation, and managing water resources sustainably.
Waste Reduction and Management: Reducing waste, promoting recycling, and implementing sustainable waste management practices.
Climate-Resilient Infrastructure: Designing and implementing infrastructure that can withstand the impacts of climate change.
Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration: Protecting and restoring natural ecosystems, such as forests, wetlands, and oceans, to promote biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Climate Justice and Human Rights: Understanding the human rights implications of climate change and promoting climate justice for vulnerable communities.
Community Engagement and Participation: Engaging local communities in climate decision-making and promoting participatory approaches to climate resilience and sustainability.
Climate Policy and Governance: Understanding climate policy and governance frameworks, and promoting effective climate governance at local, national, and international levels.
Application Fee for Fellowship Rs. 5000/- Only Selected Participants will submited
ELIGIBILITY:
• Open to everyone from across the Pakistan.
• Applicants should have a strong interest in exchanging on best practice and the developing and learning of new ways of working on the issue and to think “out-of-the-box”.
• There is age between 16 to 29 years.
• Deadline: 15th July 2025.
• Interviwes for Shortlisted participants: 16th to 20th July 2025.
• Application fee Submission Deadline: 25th July 2025.
• Online Classes Starting from: 1st August 2025.
• Residential Program will Starting from: 1st November 2025.
